Megan, Andrew and I hired a car and took a drive out to Edmonton which is a bit under 5hrs away. A change of scenery was good and visiting the Ice Castles and West Edmonton Mall was good fun.
The first fun of the trip was stopping at Dairy Queen and getting milkshakes for lunch. We then arrived into Edmonton late afternoon and checked into the hotel. Japanese for dinner and then a nighttime visit to the ice castles where there ice was all lit up by lights built into the ice walls.
The next day we took our swimmers and headed to the mall so Andrew and I could experience their indoor Waterpark. This was once the biggest mall in the northern hemisphere and it not only has and indoor Waterpark but a water pirate area with seal performances and a theme park with multiple rollercoasters. Megan did some shopping while Andrew and I tested out the slides in the Waterpark.
Megan got Tuesday off and so she and I went and hiked Johnston Canyon to look at the frozen waterfalls.
